The Language of the Senses Is Without Words

Inevitably, the subject of fragrance also had to become a central element of designer Cem Mustafa Abaci's collection.

If things possess a specific scent that expresses their character, then the essence of ABACI, too, had to be reflected in a fragrance.

What does aesthetics smell like? Elegance? Refinement? The task was to create the olfactory equivalent of ABACI.

“I WANTED TO CREATE A FRAGRANCE THAT WOULD ADD A SENSORY DIMENSION TO MY COLLECTION - ONE THAT WOULD MAKE IT TANGIBLE, SCENTED, AND EXPERIENCED.”

Despite the diversity of essences, only the finest and almost exclusively natural ingredients were used.

The pure, understated bottles feature a cap made of wenge wood - a reference to the woody, natural core of the fragrance.

Each flacon also comes with its own case, practical not only for travel but also designed to be reused for other purposes.

“THE COLLABORATION BEGAN WITH EXTENSIVE, HIGHLY DETAILED BRIEFINGS AND JOINT SESSIONS IN WHICH WE IMMERSED OURSELVES IN SCENTS. THEN GEZA DEVELOPED THE FIRST BASE ACCORDS.”

Only an exceptional perfumer could do justice to such an ambition. Abaci chose to collaborate with Geza Schön, one of the most revolutionary perfumers of our time.

Abaci had long been fascinated by the velvety elegance of Escentric Molecules and was among the first to discover the fragrance for his store.
